Overview
The Booking & Shipping Details step allows you to enter all of the contact details for the shipment - shipper, consignee and notify party.
Voyage Details
The first section of this step displays the details of the voyage you selected in the preceding Rates & Sailings area. You should verify that these details are correct now, as they are the only part of your booking that cannot be changed during the process.
To the right of this information you will see the per-container freight charge, and the current total charge for your booking.
Time to complete booking
The youship site works on an allocation basis for each voyage. Once you initiate a booking, youship holds space on your chosen vessel. This allocation is only held for a period of one hour. You need to complete your booking within the hour in order to retain your space allocation.
Your Reference & Forwarder/Booking Party
This space allows you to record your own, internal reference number for the booking. youship stores this against your booking to assist you in reconciling your youship bookings with your internal records.
The Forwarder/Booking Party will be you, in most cases. However, as you might be making the booking on behalf of a third-party, youship provides this space for your convenience.
Shipper Details
You need to provide us with the company name and address of the shipper. If this is you, simply check the box title "I am the shipper" and your details will be entered in these fields automatically.

Consignee Details
For customs purposes, you need to provide youship with a comprehensive set of information regarding the Consignee (the party receiving the shipment).

Notify Party
The Notify Party is the contact point for the shipment. This may be the same as the Consignee - in which case you can select the radio button titled "Same as Consignee". If the details are different, select "Other" and fill in the fields that appear.

Commodity Details
This section requests details regarding the commodity you will be shipping with youship. You will need to provide the commodity type (presented as a simple menu of options); the number of packages; the average weight per container - in kilograms; and the package type - also presented as a menu of options. You can also provide additional comments regarding both the shipment and the commodity being shipped.
